Q: Are you an attorney?
A: No, I am a legal assistant and thus a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
I can do anything an attorney can do for you EXCEPT represent you in court.
Q: Are you a licensed psychologist?
A: No, but my Master's and Ph.d. graduate work were focused on clinical psychology
as well as Linguistics. Both my Master's and Doctoral theses are psychological in
focus and I have published internationally in the field of psychology and literature.
Additionally, I did some three (3) years graduate study in interpersonal psychology
in The School of Social Work (University of Michigan) -- a program I quit to devote
myself to putting my son back together after his 10 year ordeal in the custody
dispute (see Federal Lawsuit section of this web page).
Q: Why should I hire you? Can't my attorney do everything for me?
A: Perhaps-and at approximately TWICE the cost.
You and I will be preparing your case for your attorney, saving him time and you money,
in much the same way medical technicians do testing for a high-priced surgeon.
Furthermore, most attorneys haven't gone through the emotional agonies of a child
custody case themselves. I have. I know how you feel, know where you "are," and
how to get out of the painful place you are in.
Q: Can you give me references from former clients?
A: Yes. I will be happy to do so.
Q: Why do you do this painful kind of work?
A: After I went through the hell of getting custody of my son, and putting him back
together, I swore an oath that so long as I was alive and functioning I would NEVER
let a kid suffer through the hell my son suffered. I learned an enormous amount
during those ten years-about law, about the court system, about psychologists,
about the "game" of child custody cases. It would have been senseless to throw
that knowledge away. I owe it to my son; I owe it to your kids.
